What is EPF?
Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is a retirement benefit scheme available to all salaried employees. Under this scheme, both the employee and the employer contribute 12% of the basic salary (plus DA) towards the EPF account.
How is EPF Interest Calculated?
Interest on EPF is calculated monthly on the closing balance but is credited to the account at the end of the financial year. The current interest rate is 8.25% p.a (Updated Annually).
